Q. How do you format an interview in APA format?

For Nursing 415, we interviewed someone we know with a specific disease. It is supposed to be summarized in our final paper. I need APA hints.


APA does not give specific guidelines to format an interview.  You may fashion your interview in script form, as in your example with names, or use a more narrative form that provides information about the topics as part of the text, followed by the interviewee's answers in quotation marks or block format, as shown in part 4 of this link.


APA does say that interviews do not require a reference page citation.

And, of course, if you are in doubt about the instructor's expectations, it always pays to ask the teacher!
