Where can I find the JBI Levels of Evidence?

Answer

Joanna Briggs Institute provides tables for determining the level of evidence in a study, according to its research design. The most widely used table is for Levels of Effectiveness. The table can be found on the Evidence-based Practice: Levels of Evidence tab of most nursing library guides.

It is also available directly through JBI at:

Bonus Hint: If you are unclear about what type of study you are evaluating (Cross-sectional Study? Randomized Controlled Trial? Cohort Study?), focus on the Methods section of the study. If the study doesn't use similar terms to those you see on the Levels of Evidence chart, you'll need to determine the study design by examining the study methodology. For description on different types of studies, check out the Evidence-based Practice: Research Designs tab on the nursing libguide for your course.
